This time of year invites us to pause and give thanks—not just for the progress we’ve made but for the people who have chosen to walk alongside us in this challenging yet profoundly rewarding journey. Whether it’s our staff, our board members, our volunteers, or our community partners, the work we do is made possible because of a collective effort that transcends individual organizations.
I am especially grateful for the spirit of collaboration that exists. Each of us brings a unique set of experiences, resources, and expertise to the table, yet we share the common goal of reducing the number of overdose deaths through advancing mental health and wellness in ways that truly make a difference in the lives of individuals and families.
The holidays can be a difficult time for many. For individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges, the season may bring added stress or feelings of isolation. But it’s also a time when our collective impact is most felt, as we reach out to offer care, support, and a sense of belonging. Whether through direct services, outreach programs, or advocacy efforts, our work has never been more vital.
As we reflect on the year behind us, I’m inspired by the resilience and creativity I see across our coalition. The challenges we face are significant, but so too are the opportunities to make real, lasting change. And I believe that by continuing to share insights, resources, and best practices, we can deepen our collective impact and build a more inclusive, compassionate future for all.
In this season of gratitude, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your engagement in this work. I am deeply thankful for your leadership and for the shared commitment we all have to reducing the number of lives lost to addiction.
As we look ahead 2025, I remain hopeful and energized by the possibilities for continued collaboration. Our next opportunity to come together is for our Annual First Responder’s Summit on Friday, December 6. We hope to see you each there. And, I wish you and your teams a restful Thanksgiving.
With gratitude,

Jennifer Webb
