County Opioid Settlement Fund

2023 December

County-by-County Update:

Both Pinellas and Pasco Counties have mentioned wanting to increase the number of Marchman and Baker Act beds. Is your county prioritizing forensic beds or building a new receiving facility? If so, please let us know.

Applications for Citrus County opioid funds are due by January 12. Email Todd Hockert if you are interested in applying. The applications are being reviewed and voted on each week until January 12 at 8:30am, at which time the committee will make a formal and final recommendation to LSF for funding priorities.

Pinellas County Opioid Taskforce voted not to distribute any county opioid settlement funds to abate the opioid overdose crisis this fiscal year.

Pasco BOCC is expected to vote on recommended projects during their January 9th County Commission meeting, but the agenda for this meeting has yet to be posted. If you would like to attend the meeting join the Pasco BOCC at 10am at the Historic County Courthouse, 2nd Floor Boardroom, 37918 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, FL, 33525.

Updates for Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee, and Sarasota will be provided in January when we expect much more post-holiday activity across the board.
