Letter from the Executive Director

Newsletter, 2022 February, Letter from the Executive Director

For the past year, the Project Opioid Tampa Bay initiative has been building a foundation. We have compiled research and reports on the impact of the opioid crisis on our region, cultivated a coalition of leaders and stakeholders to guide our work, and created the infrastructure to expand our reach and impact. We are excited to announce that we incorporated this initiative as LIVE Tampa Bay to sustain our work for the years to come.

Under our new name, LIVE Tampa Bay, we will have the same regional coalition of leaders, the same bold initiative, and the same strong goals, but with a focus responsive to the needs of our region. The creation of this nonprofit is a step toward a serious, continued investment in saving lives by our region’s business, faith, and philanthropic leaders, many of whom have seen the impact of the opioid crisis.

Please mark your calendars for the launch of LIVE Tampa Bay on March 24, 2022. Celebrities and local families impacted by the epidemic, subject-matter experts, and statewide decision-makers will join together for this Regional Leaders Luncheon to End Overdose. So please join us as either a sponsor or guest.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Jennifer Webb

Executive Director, Live Tampa Bay
